All the Books in the World

what does writing have to do with the story of humanity

I like to 'have' books. I don't read them alot, but I flip through and read some parts to help me 'own' them. I don't feel too great about this (and I have to deal with boxes of often crappy books), but I think this web experiment could help somehow. For sure, if you like books, go to project gutenburg to get free books.

Anyone who writes for bread is enjoying the market of intellectualism, and so I don't feel bad stealing digital text. I don't think of it as stealing. Go to textz and get my favorite book (probably because I still haven't read it), Empire.

Some of my friends write books. You should check out RAE's website to get her book. My buddy Ken is working on a trilogy of momentus proportions, which is a must for every lover:

   Lethargy and Repercussion
   Boredom and Relentlessness
Dismisall of Ambition / Retainment of Ego

Also, enjoy this short story by Mike Lee that, to me, is in the same vein. It's a relic from our high school english class, passed down to my by circuitous means. All lovers please open this link and read a great oratorial exercise on behalf of one of our ancestors. Oh, and this version of Bourdieu has margins for the coldbacon formum.

Get to other good sites: the classics page has old philosohpy. I personally have a marxist bent. And some persons do a good job of listing all the online books.
